Guests can enjoy the unspoilt Scottish coastline and beaches, from 2 minutes walk away. Each bedroom is individually designed and has a king or super-king bed, and a luxury en suite bathroom. They all have sea views, a flat-screen TV, free Wi-Fi, and tea/coffee making facilities. The restaurant serves fresh, local food. Breakfast is served daily from 7:30, lunch from 12:00 to 14:30 and dinner from 18:00 to 21:00. There is fresh coffee, tea and home baking available throughout the day. Islay Airport is a 10-minute drive for The Islay Hotel. A links golf course is less than 10 minutes drive away and guests can visit the distilleries of Laphroaig, Lagavulin, and Ardbeg, situated between 5 and 10 minutes drive. There is free parking at the property.

Approx 18 miles from Port Askaig Ferry Terminal - Take the A846 for 8.5 miles, then take a left onto the B8016, continue straight for 10 miles into Port Ellen. Approx 4.5 miles from Islay Airport - Turn right out of airport car park continue straight for 3.5 miles, take a left, continue straight for a mile, take a right and continue straight into Port Ellen.
